Reactive dog trainer in Poole, Dorset. Helping you enjoy life with your dog

Hi, I’m Sam—an accredited IMDT dog trainer and reactivity support specialist, based in Poole, Dorset. I help overwhelmed dog owners turn stressful walks and challenging behaviours into calmer, more enjoyable everyday life. Because living with a reactive or ‘difficult’ dog can feel exhausting.

Does this sound familiar? Walks feel more stressful than enjoyable. You’re constantly scanning the environment, bracing for what might happen next. Your dog might: bark, lunge or growl at other dogs or people, pull like a train on the lead, chase delivery drivers or react to noises, struggle to settle at home, jump up, steal food or destroy things when left. And no matter what you have tried nothing seems to work.

You’re not alone, and your dog isn’t the problem. Most behaviour struggles come from your dog feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, unsure or afraid. Not stubborn, not dominant, not ‘bad’. They just need the right support.

Maybe you’ve lost confidence walking your dog. Maybe you avoid certain places or people. Maybe you feel embarrassed or like you’re failing. You’re not.
